Setup and validation
- Create a connection and give it a clear name.
- Complete required fields and the separate secret field.
- Run “Test” and read the diagnostics.
- Save the connection and select it in the appropriate flow block.
“Test” confirms SMTP access and login without sending an email. To check sender and recipient, complete “Test message” and click “Send test message”. An empty password field in a saved connection uses the previously stored password.
Use in a flow
This connection is used by the “Email” block, not an ordinary data source or destination. A connection test does not send an email. The separate test-send action creates a real message. Check sender, recipients and server limits. If a response is lost, reconcile delivery before retrying.
