Connect Microsoft to your other systems
Connect Excel, OneDrive, SQL Server, Azure SQL and Dynamics 365 to your other business data. Data Bridge prepares the required format and transfers data between files, databases and apps.
Data preparation
Excel and OneDrive within a managed exchange
Connections to local SQL Server and Azure SQL
Dynamics 365 entities through OData
Give Excel files a defined role
Replace repeated report assembly with configured worksheet or range reading, column checks and transformations. Files can come from OneDrive or an approved local folder. Department plans can, for example, be combined with SQL actuals before being delivered to an analytical model.
- Read configured worksheets and ranges
- Use OneDrive and local file sources
- Combine tables and check data quality
Connect databases to operational processes
Read SQL Server and Azure SQL tables, views or read-only queries. Prepare fields and key rules for delivery to the selected destination. A local server can use a compatible agent connection with an approved host and port.
- Connect Microsoft SQL Server and Azure SQL
- Read tables, views and SELECT queries
- Configure inserts, updates and key mappings
Select the sources
Identify the files, databases or Dynamics 365 entities you need.
Grant the permissions
Configure connections with access to only the required resources.
Define the exchange
Check mappings and keys in simulation, then configure production execution.
Include Dynamics 365 in the flow
The connector supports the OData interfaces of Business Central, Finance and Operations, and Dataverse. Configure a Microsoft Entra ID application with access to the required entities. The flow can then read records, transform them and deliver data according to the agreed exchange rules.
- Select entities, fields, filters and ordering
- Authenticate through a Microsoft Entra ID application
- Read and perform configured OData write operations
Your questions, answered.
How to connect your data, manage access and get started.
Which Dynamics 365 products does the connector cover?
Business Central, Finance and Operations, and Dataverse through their OData interfaces and the registered application’s permissions.
Can local Excel data be combined with a cloud database?
Yes. Sources can be combined in a flow when the files and database are reachable and the required permissions are available.
Does a connection need access to all Microsoft data?
No. Grant permissions to the specific files, tables or entities required by your scenario.
