Keep IBM Planning Analytics up to date
Collect data from files, databases and apps for IBM Planning Analytics. Data Bridge checks it, prepares it for your model and helps load the required figures without repeated manual copying.
Data preparation
Read and write cubes and work with dimensions
Run TurboIntegrator with flow parameters
Launch updates from Planning Analytics Workspace
Prepare actuals for planning
Collect sales, costs or stock from the required sources, map fields to cube dimensions and apply transformation rules. Check the outcome in simulation before writing. Monthly actuals from a business database can, for example, be enriched with exchange rates and delivered to an agreed slice of the financial model.
- Read cubes and the required datasets
- Map fields to elements and aliases
- Configure clearing, write behavior and chunk size
Maintain dimensions and model processes
A dimension destination adds missing base elements and updates attributes using configured mappings. Run TurboIntegrator for subsequent model logic. Process parameters can use constant values, run parameters or fields from incoming data, keeping preparation and model actions connected.
- Read and extend dimensions
- Update attributes and element placement in hierarchies
- Execute TI processes after data preparation
Connect the model
Configure the IBM address, authentication and access to the required objects.
Define the mapping
Select a cube, dimension or process and configure fields and parameters.
Check and hand over
Complete simulation, configure a button or schedule and verify production execution.
Keep the launch in a familiar book
Embed a “Synchronize actuals” button in PAW using a webpage object. The user selects a period and company, completes configured wizard steps and sees execution status. For recurring updates, use a schedule with suitable connection permissions.
- Parameters and button styling suited to your book
- Execution and waiting-for-input states
- History of writes, errors and results
Your questions, answered.
How to connect your data, manage access and get started.
Can I read IBM data back into a flow?
Yes. A cube or dimension can be a source for transformation, reconciliation or delivery to another system.
Does Data Bridge replace my TI processes?
You can keep the TI logic you need and invoke processes from a flow with configured parameters.
How do I reach IBM on a private network?
Use an available direct connection or a compatible UBC Agent route. Authentication and network access are selected for your installation.
