Give applications the data they need

Prepare stock levels, prices or reporting figures and share them through your own API. You choose the data, response format and access rules. Data Bridge creates a reference for the team connecting the app.

THE CHALLENGE

What slows the work down

Several applications need the same reference data or calculated measures. Each integration reads the sources and repeats the preparation logic. When a business rule changes, the applications can produce inconsistent results, while support teams lack a shared contract to troubleshoot against.

IT teams, internal-application developers and systems integrators.
A PRACTICAL EXAMPLE

Illustrative scenario: an internal portal reads prepared exchange rates for a date or a product catalogue by category. A workflow collects available sources, applies agreed rules and exposes the result through an authenticated data endpoint.

HOW THE WORKFLOW RUNS

From the first step to the right action.

01

Prepare the dataset

Collect sources and apply required transformations and checks. Decide which fields and records the consuming application should be able to receive from the result.

02

Configure data output

Add the API data-output block and its endpoint. Choose JSON, JSON Lines, CSV or XML, then configure the supported selection parameters.

03

Choose the refresh behaviour

Use the stored result of the latest run or configure a run on request when appropriate. Agree the maximum data age and response limits.

04

Share the contract

Give an authorised integrator access to the generated documentation. Test parameters, pagination, empty results and the application’s behaviour when a request fails.

VALUE FOR THE TEAM

Make the work repeatable.

  • Consumers receive data through a defined contract instead of duplicating the complete preparation process.
  • Endpoint parameters and documentation reflect the workflow configuration that produces the particular dataset.
  • Internal source structures can be separated from the fields actually required by a consuming application.

Keep control of the result.

  • Set API-client permissions and verify that responses exclude unnecessary internal or personal information.
  • Agree result freshness, pagination and consumer handling of limit errors or missing data.
  • Enable public access only deliberately; a corporate data endpoint can remain authenticated.
THE WORKFLOW OUTCOME

Applications read a consistent result through a maintained API, while the data team controls preparation rules, response contents and access permissions.
